 Our Story: Built on Passion, Resilience & Purpose 

My journey in the beauty industry began in 2015, driven by an undeniable passion for cosmetology, fashion design, and business administration. By 2016, that passion turned into leadership as I became a Lash & Brow Salon Administrator inside Puerto Rico’s iconic Plaza Las Américas.

When Hurricane Maria reshaped our lives, I embraced a pivotal opportunity: helping expand beauty operations to the U.S. mainland by opening, staffing, and managing new locations. My path eventually led me to Columbus, Ohio, where I served for nearly three years as a Senior Coach, Supervisor, and Professional Makeup Artist at Sephora inside JCPenney—leading beauty education, skincare services, and sales marketing.

Motherhood, Growth & Rebirth

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I welcomed my first child into the world. Stepping back from retail allowed me to embrace motherhood and launch a successful in-home childcare business, gaining true control over my entrepreneurial journey. But my heart never left the beauty industry.

In 2022, I returned to my roots as an independent beauty specialist—refreshed, re-energized, and equipped with the latest techniques in luxury lash extensions, precision brow shaping, permanent makeup (PMU), and interactive glam workshops.

The Vision Behind My Pocket Closet (MPC)

First envisioned during my early days as a fashion design student, My Pocket Closet was officially born in 2019 as the home for my independent beauty services (Dolcelya).

Today, MPC is evolving into much more than a studio—it is a collaborative lifestyle platform. We believe in lifting as we climb. My goal is not only to deliver flawless, high-end beauty services but to provide a respected platform, mentorship, and opportunities for emerging beauty talents to grow their own empires alongside us.
